Meet your Host

Rev. Dr. Linda Reppond lives in Tacoma, Washington as a mostly retired CSL minister. While no longer working in a full-time ministry role, Dr. Linda remains a fierce advocate for young, emerging spiritual leaders: as a mentor and coach, as an honored elder at events, and Chair of ReGeneration, the scholarship fund for young people entering ministry.

Dr. Linda was the founding minister of the Launching Pad, a dedicated young adult church in Centers for Spiritual Living. For over ten years, the Launching Pad, with locations in Berkeley, CA, St. George, Utah, and Ashland, Oregon, served as a magnet for conscious young adults who chose to live in community and be supported in deepening a personal spiritual practice and a community of peers who are living their truth and loving their lives.

She served as director of the National Runaway Switchboard, President of the National Network for Youth, and Executive Director for Seattle Youth and Community Services, Special Olympics Washington, and other charities.

Dr. Linda received a Masters in Consciousness Studies at the Holmes Institute in San Diego. She received her Doctor of Ministry at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley.

Shortly after my husband passed away in 2021, my daughter took me to Ketron Island, which she had discovered when her friend bought property on the island. The minute I stepped out of the

car, I had an immediate and profound sense of coming home to myself. I heard my inner self say, “You need to be right here.”

I have a deep vow to listen to that voice when it shows up, and in short order, I purchased the very piece of land I was standing on at that moment. From the beginning, I have always found deep peace in this place. It’s very quiet and I find the solitude, immersed in the beauty of nature, to be deeply healing. Within a couple days on the island, I feel my shoulders drop, my mind clear, and I begin to return to my true self.

What began as a sanctuary for me has slowly expanded into a ministry: a place for people to heal, to recover their mojo, and to birth great creative projects. I am still spending lots of time there myself, but I am also inviting my friends to see this as a sanctuary and personal retreat space.

In my ministry, we created The Launching Pad, a place for young emerging leaders to figure out who they were and launch into their lives. From the beginning, people (often much older than the Launching Pad crew) would ask me when I was going to create a Landing Pad, a place for all ages to get still, centered and renew themselves. I always laughed at this, never dreaming that it would actually become a real thing. But here I am, at this older, quieter time in my life, finding that for myself and many people in my life, there is a need to unplug from life, get quiet, and listen to our Muse. We need to sit on the ground and allow the Earth to speak to us. We need to get away from the things and people that pull at us every day, and that we have allowed to take over our inner quiet.

Yes, The Landing Pad has been created to offer that haven of peace.

I invite you to come, get still and see what emerges.
